Privacy notice

New Business Signals collects the information needed to provide accounts, subscriptions, samples, reports, and support. This may include your email address, name, company, report preferences, Stripe customer identifiers, delivery history, and limited security logs.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the application, Supabase provides authentication and database services, Stripe processes billing, and Resend delivers email. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored in this application.

Public data

Business opportunities currently originate from the City of Chicago Business Licenses dataset. For active subscribers, the application also matches license accounts to the official City of Chicago Business Owners dataset, which can include names and titles of owners, officers, members, managers, or legal entities published by the City.

The application stores the source rows, exact City account number used for matching, source URLs, collection timestamps, and generated opportunity scores. Owner records are excluded from the public preview and free sample. They are available only within authenticated subscriber features such as the dashboard, scheduled reports, and CSV exports.

Data quality and corrections

Public datasets can contain outdated, incomplete, or incorrect information. New Business Signals does not independently verify that a named person remains the owner, operator, or decision-maker. Contact support with a data-quality concern and include the business name and official source record.

Retention and choices

Account and subscription data is retained while needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Public owner records are refreshed when the matching license account is collected, and stale rows for that account are removed when they are no longer returned by the official source. You can pause report email in account settings, cancel through Stripe, or contact support to request account deletion.
